Holistic Examination- Combining the basics of conventional examination techniques with traditional Chinese medical examination techniques for an in depth look at your pets health. Your pet will be looked at from a whole body approach and guidelines can then be provided from a holistic standpoint.
Acupuncture - paper thin needles are inserted in areas of the body that are known to have higher nerve and blood flow. Insertion of these needles helps to improve blood flow to that area and release endorphins and other chemicals into the body that aid the body in its natural healing process.
Chinese herbal therapies - Chinese herbs have been used for thousands of years to treat numerous ailments in countries around the world. They involve a distinct combination of herbs that are formulated to treat specific conditions. Unlike single herb formulas, the synergistic action of the multiple herbs in the formula provide a powerful effect.
Western Herbs - single use of western herbs may be recommended based on the needs of your pet. These herbs may be administered by mouth, applied as a salve on the skin, or formulated in liquid tinctures.
Food Therapy/Nutrition Consultation - the individual needs of your pet will be considered and a nutritionally balanced diet will be provided. Whole food diets including raw, cooked and partially cooked are recommended as well as recommendations for combination of kibble with the above mentioned diets. Emphasis will be placed on nutritionally balanced whole food diets, and extruded diets/kibble can be recommended when whole food diets are not available.
Laser Therapy - low level light therapy is provided with a class 3B laser. Laser therapy has been shown to be effective in repairing tissues that are damaged due to wounds, injuries, arthritis and more.
Annual Exams (coming soon) - routine annual exams are recommended for all pets as a preventative health measure, to ensure vaccines, titers and anti-parasite medications are up to date, and to ensure routine prescriptions are evaluated yearly.
Routine Vaccinations (coming soon) - routine vaccinations and vaccine titers are performed depending on the independent needs of your individual pet.
Diagnostic Testing (coming soon) - Blood and Urine Chemistry testing can be performed for all non-emergent acute or chronic disease cases and for preventative care. All emergencies or patients that require hospitalization or overnight care will be referred to a full scale veterinary hospital for additional services. Surgeries and Radiographs will not be performed at our appointments but will be referred to a veterinary hospital if needed.
Palliative Care and Home Euthanasia (coming soon) - the later years of your pet are some of the most important and keeping them comfortable in their later years is of utmost importance. We approach pain control from a multi-modal approach with both acupuncture, laser and chinese herbs, but also traditional medications such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatories and other pain medications individually tailored to your pets needs.
